Jackson and Kennedy...
Are getting so big. They act like they are about 16yrs old! Drives me insane. They are fighting all the time. They arent allowed to play the Wii together anymore because they fight about it! I will be in the other room and hear someone start crying, then the other one saying "i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm so sorry. Dont go tell"! We have a new color chart like whats in their class and it works pretty well. We have 4 different colors. Green means that you have been good all day. Yellow means that you have been warned several times. Red means that you have been horrible! And Purple means you have been extra good. Its hard to get purple, at least for Jackson and Kennedy. At our house, if you get a yellow, you dont get to play the Wii or watch TV that day. You also get a spanking. And if you get Red, you better watch out. LOL. Its not that bad, but you do get grounded. Probably for the week. Not sure though because they havent gotten red yet. Hopefully they wont ever get it. And If you get purple you get extra stuff. We have a chore chart and you get stars for doing your chores. You get extra stars for getting on purple. The more stars, the more you get, either money, a toy, or something like that. Its working out pretty well so far.
Oh My
WOW! Its has been a long time since I've blogged! So much has happened. We got back in our house since the fire. We actually got back in the second week in November. It felt like we were out for a long long time, but we were only out for a little over a month. It could have been a whole lot longer! Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went. Carter had a great 1st christmas! He will be 6 months old at the end of February. Oh how time flies! He is getting a little attitude of his own now. If he wants me, which he usually does, and I walk past him, he will squeel, like a pig! Its crazy! I've got to break him of that.
He has started sitting in his highchair at dinner time. He looks so little in that big chair! We found these mesh bag baby teether feeder thingy's and they are so neat. He loves them. He has had grapes, blueberries, and bananas. He loves food! And he likes them frozen too. He already has 2 teeth. Has had them since he was 4 months. He still isnt sitting up all the way by himself, but he will get there. He is moving around though. I will put him on the floor and he will move to get something. He turns circles and pushes himself across the floor! He will be crawling before we know it! He also loves his jumper thing. He will sit in it forever. He is just precious.
Oh did I mention his weight?? At 5 months he was 21 lbs and 28 inches long! He is a big boy! I just love it!

FIRE! day 16
LOTS of issues with the check thing. So this check is to pay for my construction loss...minus my dedcutible. That makes sense to me, except I have a bid from a contractor for 10,000 that was supposedly approved by my insurance. WHAT! yes that is what I said, so i did what I do, i analyzed it and did the numbers on what I got vs what bid I had. Took out the differences like the carpet was on the bid but is being handled seperately and the bid included something that the insurance had for got and attic sealer. So I took those out and got a 2100 dollar difference. I looked at it and from what I can tell the contractor is trying to hit us with 2100 dollars that are pure profit on his part....hmm thats the way to run a business. We are trying to get it figured out and not letting them work while we do...so longer wait on the house...

FIRE! Day 15
ok so we got a check in the mail on saturday and some paper work on friday...but it doesnt make sense. They are from the insurance company and I am not quite sure what they are for...the check barely covers the electrical part of the repair maybe its the insurance company trying to settle...I have to call my adjuster first thing this morning before construction starts...lots of fun...hopefully we should be back in the house in a matter of days.

FIRE! Day 12
we got all our bids in yesterday and they all came in under what insurance would pay for...yeah. That is a relief. We are waiting on the floors to dry so the contractor can come in and fix the wall. we are also waiting on us....to finish filling out the contents sheets. Man what a hassle going through most of your stuff to see what needs to be replaced and what needs to be fixed and what is fine. GIANT hassle but we should be ok in the end nothing that was precious was lost, sure some limited edition, not made any more , porcelin dolls of my wifes were smoke damaged beyond repair, and our custom made couchs were destroyed...but we still have everyone and heck we still even have pictures and memories. So hassle or not we are good, tired and ready to get back to my bed and my shower. but good none the less.
