Carter is here!

Well, Carter is finally here! I had an appt yesterday at 10:30am. I was still the same, dialated to a 2 and 75% efaced. We decided to go ahead and take an hebal tea to get things started. I would have been 42 weeks on Friday. I finished drinking the tea around 12:45 and the contractions started. They started coming ever 3-5 minutes, but werent very strong yet. We left the birthing center and went to get something to eat at a Mexican place down the road. It was pretty good. Then we went to McDonalds to let Jackson and Kennedy place and to pass time. We went back to the birthing center around 4:30ish so she could check me to see if I made any progress. I hadnt! I was still a 2. So, my parents took the kids home and me and Cody went to the mall in Arlington to walk around. Contractions got pretty strong in the car on the way there. We got out at JC Penny's and looked around a little bit. Contractions got really strong and 2 minutes apart. We decided to go back to the birthing center because I went to the bathroom and had a contraction and felt the need to push! So, we got in the car and headed back that way. When we got there, she checked me at 7:00pm and I was a 4, so we stayed. I got in the bath to see if the contractions would space out a little bit. They didnt! I told her I felt an urge to push during contractions so she checked me around 8:15pm and I was a 7! I was still in the bath and didnt feel like I could get out. So around 8:30 she told me to push if I had the urge. I pushed and pushed! Apparently, he was posterior, but flipped right before he came out. His head came out, and I was so tired I didnt feel like I could push anymore. I heard the midwife say "its been 45 seconds". So she started telling me " I need you to push. I need you to try hard." Well, his shoulders were stuck. So she tells me to flip over to my hands and knees. I couldnt. So Cody gave me a "nudge" and flipped me. When I flipped over, it helped his shoulders move. He was finally here. I was so tired!
When they weighed him, I realized why I was so worn out.... He was 9 lbs 11.5 oz and 22 inches long! It was all worth it though. He is perfect! He was born at 9:06pm on Thursday, August 27th. We got to go home the same night. We got home at 1:45am. Jackson and Kennedy went home with my parents since it was so late. My dad brought them home this morning. Kennedy is in love with him. Jackson likes him too, but doesnt show it as much as kennedy. Today has gone really well. Carter is so good! Hope he stays that way. Here are some pics of everything.

Jackson's FIRST day of Kindergarden!!!

So it has been a long time since I blogged! Guess I havent really had much news. Still no baby. I am 1 week and 3 days overdue! I am hoping to have this baby in the month of August... They say they will only let me go to Friday, the 28th. So I guess we will have an August baby, just maybe at the end of August.
I'm just glad that I didnt go in last night cuz today was Jacksons first day of Kindergarden. He was super excited. He woke up at 6:45 this morning and jumped out of bed and said "I've gotta get dressed. I have school today!" He got dressed, ate his toast, brushed his teeth and was ready to go. He didnt like having to wait in the "school traffic" though. He was ready to just be there. We got to his classroom and he was ready to sit down and start his day! I think he will have a great day. Its going to be a long day though. He doesnt get out until 2:35. Here are a few pics we took.

My mother in law brought me Carters quilt and bumper pads some other stuff she had made for him. I am so excited.... I cant wait for him to actually get here! I went to the dr on Thursday. Everything looks good. I am dialated to a 1 and about 50% efaced. So, hopefully he will be here soon. I cant wait to see what he looks like. I have been have contractions, just not strong ones. Hopefully they will get stronger and he will be here this week! That would be great!
Here are some pics of his bedding....
