End of Year Program

Last night was the end of the year program. It was a stressful day. We had water day at school, early dismissal at 12:15. Me and the kids didnt leave until 3:15. I was working on the scrapbooks for the kids because they had to be done by last night. Jackson and Kennedy were "ok" while I was working, but they were tired and ready to go home. By the time we got home, we only had about 30-45 minutes to rest before we needed to start getting ready and go back to the school. Both kids had to have a bath. They were so tired. They should have just stayed up instead of taking a little nap because I think that was worse. So, we got ready and went back to the school to help set up and eat dinner.
The kids did great on their program. And it was Jacksons graduation. He looked so big. I cant believe that he will be in Kindergarden next year! Man time flies!
Here are so pics I took. And I was so mad.... I pull out my camcorder and the battery is dead. So I had a little bit of time so i was going to charge it. Well, my charger is still at my moms from the party. I was so upset! But atleast i got pics....

The Birthday Party!!!!

So today was the big party day. It started raining last night and didnt stop. It rained all morning long. I thought it would clear out by the afternoon but everything that I saw said it would rain all day. We got several calls this morning asking if the party was still on, and of course we said yes. We would be there rain or shine! We had a bounce house so even if the kids didnt get to swim, they could jump. So it did rain pretty much all afternoon. I didnt think many would show up because of the rain but we still had a big turn out. I was very excited. The kids had a blast. They jumped in the bounce house with their swim suits on, in the rain. And they even swam in the hot tub and pool. They were so tired when it was all over with. And..... I made the cake! I was so proud of myself. It turned out pretty good. My mom told me that i was making it to big but I'm glad I did. There wasnt even any crumbs left! I will post pics of the party and cake tomorrow. I am way too tired tonight!

PARTY!!!

So tomorrow is the big day. And now they are saying that it might rain, which is typical. But we are going to have the party rain or shine. We are going to heat up the hot tub and maybe even the pool. We will see. I am excited about it. They are bringing the bounce house tonight to set it up. I am getting a great deal on it. So I am going to busy today. I have to make the cake and go to the store to get the food. So off to work I go!

Carters Quilt!

I went to see my mother in law today. I was needing to decide on a pattern for little Carters quilt. I went through so many quilting books trying to decide on what I liked. Then she showed me a quilt that she just made and I loved it. I would love to have it for myself. She said the pattern was easy and wouldnt take her any time to do. So I decided to go with it. Now I have to go find fabric! Thats the even harder part. Hopefully I will be able to go with her in the next couple of weeks and find some. I am going to go ahead and redo the boys room because Jackson has been asking to have something different. Right now its cowboy theme, westernie. We are going to paint, but not sure what color. Jackson wants orange, but I'm not sure that I really want orange walls. We will see though. Diana said that she would make him a new quilt for his bed so I'm gonna see what kinda of fabric I can find for him as well. We are going to do bright colors this time, of course with some orange in it. I cant wait to go look. I have put it off too long with this prenancy. I already had the room complete by this time with both Jackson and Kennedy. I guess I'm just being lazy!

Resale Shops

So I've never been one to go to resale shops and dig for things. I hate digging. I would rather just see something and get it. My mother in law has gotten Kennedy some cute things at this resale shop in Mesquite and got our basinet there as well, which looks brand new. So we were in Mesquite today so I made Cody take me to the resale shop. I started looking for Kennedy some dresses. All she has in winter ones and needs summer. I found several that I liked and they were so cheap. I narrowed it down to 6 dresses and they were only $4.50 a piece. Thats a bargain! I was at Target the other day and found a pair of shorts for her and they were $9.99! So I did well. I am so proud!

Mothers day.....

Today is mothers day. I had a good day. The kids made me a card and cody cooked me breakfast. He said he was going to bring me breakfast in bed but he knew i didnt want food in my bed. I cant stand to have food in my bed. My kids always want to eat crackers or chips or something like that in my bed and i hate it! Anyways, we went to church and then to my moms to eat lunch. We had a good day. The kids went swimming and had a blast. I thought it was too cold but the kids had fun. Here are some pics.

This one is ms kennedy being herself. She is so pretty!

Anniversary

Today was mine and Cody's 7th wedding anniversary. Its hard to believe that 7 years have already gone by. Doesnt seem like that long. We had a good day. I actually didnt even get out of my pj's all day. Cody took Jackson to school and picked him up for me which allowed me to stay in bed all morning long. Kennedy and I stayed home all day while Cody took Jackson to see Wolverine. They had a great time. Jackson loves going to the movies. He had to tell me the whole movie at dinner tonight. While Kennedy and I were home, I did laundry and cleaned the house. Much needed. But it doesnt ever stay clean. As soon as i clean a room, the kids want to play in that room and mess it up again. I didnt even attempt to clean there rooms today. That is an all day job. Maybe tomorrow. Cody brought me a blizzard from dairy queen home. I thought that was sweet. I did ask him for it, but at least he stopped and got it for me. Then he mowed the yard for me and even cooked me dinner. And he didnt make a mess in my clean kitchen. I was so proud. So I had a good anniversary day today. Now its bath time for everyone and then off to bed.

Fun Day

Today we had a good day. We went to a friends baby shower. It was a lot of fun. It was one of Codys friends from high school so they got to catch up. The guys took the kids to a "tree house" while the girls were doing the whole baby shower thing. They said that they had a blast. It was a tree house inside a church. It looked really cool. Cody and Billy even had to go play inside of it. Thats all the kids could talk about when they got back. I would love to go check it out sometime. The pics look pretty cool.
After we left Ft Worth, we decided to have a date night. It was really nice. The kids are spending the night with my parents and Cody and I went to eat and to a movie. We havent done that in a really long time. It was nice to get out without kids. We went to see Ghosts of my girlfriends past. It was a cute movie. I liked it. Dont really know what Cody thought. It was kinda a girly movie. But I thought it was good.

Here is the tree house that they went to. Looks neat.

This is the slide in it. Looks like a lot of fun.

SWINE FLU.....

So I'm sure that everyone has heard about the lovely swine flu. I personally think that the media is making a bigger deal out of it than they should, but thats just my opinion. But.... we might have a case of it at Kennedy's school. On Thursday, a parent called around 12 to let us know that they had taken their daughter to the dr and she had tested positive for the stand A of the flu, which apparently is the swine virus. They then have to send the sample off to the CDC and it takes about 3 to 5 days to get back because they are so backed up. So we should know monday if it is for sure the Swine flu. We are going to be closed on Tuesday, which was supposed to be Mommy and Me tea, kinda sad that we arent going to be doing that now.... If it comes back that she has the swine flu, we will have to close for a couple of weeks, not returning to school until May 19th..... Which isnt so great for my check...... If that happens, we will only have 2 days of school in May, then be out for the summer. So lets hope that its not the swine flu that she has.....
